Being in a process of constant improvement, taking into account your feedback and integrating the best of current technologies, we could not do without presenting the history of our bindings.
2010 -2014
STUDY OF A NEW TELEMARK BINDING
Before the arrival of Meidjo, no telemark binding on the market offered a Low-Tech type entry system combining lightness, safety and progressiveness. In 2011, a year after his decision to design a Telemark product combining these 3 characteristics, Pierre, the designer, assembled and tested his first prototype. During the 3 years that followed, he produced numerous prototypes and conducted several field test campaigns with guides, competitors and enthusiasts* to validate all the functionalities he wanted to see integrated into the product.
2014 - 2015
MARKETING OF THE MEIDJO 1
MEIDJO 1 was a success when it was released in the fall of 2014. There were two versions: the MEIDJO 1.1, then the MEIDJO 1.2, bringing improvements to the ease of the step-in and the power of the springs, calculated more precisely.

THE MEIDJO 1 WINS THE GOLD WINNER AWARD
Each year, the ISPO show honors the most outstanding products in the sports industry with the ISPO AWARD, in the categories Action / Outdoor / Skiing / Performance / Fitness & health. In the Ski category, Meidjo was rewarded for its exceptional lightness in the telemark market.
2016 - 2017
MARKETING OF THE MEIDJO 2 AND THE ALPINE HEEL
The MEIDJO 2.0 incorporates developments related to the choice of materials to improve their mechanical strength during the genuflexion phase.
The alpine heel piece has been designed to allow you to push the freedom of versatility even further, by choosing the telemark mode or the alpine ski mode according to your desires. It has become the essential accessory to facilitate crossings and exposed passages without stress and without having to take off their shoes, and for those who want to switch from one style to another in a jiffy!

THE MEIDJO RECEIVES THE EDITORS’ CHOICE
The American magazine Backcountry, a reference in the outdoor equipment sector, establishes a comparison in each category of the best references on the market. In 2017, he elected the MEIDJO among the 3 best Low-Tech touring bindings.
2017 - 2019
MARKETING OF THE MEIDJO 2.1
1 • Easier handling when touring: the heel sets incorporate side wings to raise them with a simple stroke of the pole.
2 • Easier "Step-In" fitting on a flat surface (from the fall 2019): new mechanism of the spring box (spring box/touring lock/touring plate) avoiding raising the spring box before fitting (we can identify the evolution with the appearance of two small ramps visible on the Spring Box).
3 • Securing resistance to tearing: change of drill holes for better hold of the binding on all skis on the market.
4 • Performance and comfort of use: more powerful Low-Tech jaw springs.
Thanks to these modifications, version 2.1 provides a feeling of engagement from the start of genuflexion which continues gradually and with precision, compared to competitors who have a later and more brutal engagement. This precision is particularly noticeable on slow transitions and on the relaxation phase when coming up from genuflexion: real comfort!
